B. Introduction to Touch for Health KinesioloGY

Presented by Joy Lee Connor, LMBT

Thursday, February 15, 2018
6 contact hours
Introductory to Intermediate Level
Audience: Occupational and Physical Therapists, interested others

In an Introduction to Touch for Health (book originally published by John Thie, DC in 1977), we will explore the origin of Energy (Applied) Kinesiology. TFH offers a holistic approach to balancing posture, energy, and attitude using muscle testing and touch reflexes. Touch for Health advocates a wellness-centered, life-affirming approach, encouraging health-promoting action. Health care professionals and lay people alike may use these tools for empowerment, self-responsibility, holistic wellness and energy balancing.
During this introductory class, we will demonstrate and practice manual muscle testing as a bio-feedback tool and learn other balancing tools which tap into the body’s own innate healing intelligence to clear energy blockages and facilitate health and well-being.

Objectives: Participants will be able to:
  1. Describe Touch for Health Kinesiology history, theory, applications, and benefits.
  2. Demonstrate and practice manual muscle testing and balancing.
  3. Identify methods to energize, switch-on and balance the body and brain.
  4. Discuss practical applications of muscle testing and other tools presented.
